Tunesday: The Crow Quill Night Owls

It’s Tuesday so that means at, it’s Tunesday! Every Tuesday, we will share a song with you that we love and hope you will too.

It’s hot. It’s July, and it’s humid and it’s hot. The Earth is rotating once every 24 hours like it always does, but it feels like it’s going much, much more slowly, drawing up every ounce of sweaty sunlight it can. The yard, forever damp, is growing up over the roof and all you want is to open the fridge and crawl into the vegetable crisper and sleep the season away.

But close your eyes. Maybe it’s not so hot; maybe there’s a breeze coming in from the surrounding Appalachians. Maybe you’re sitting on a Pack Square patio in downtown Asheville and maybe it’s autumn not summer and maybe you have a cool beverage in your hand and you take a sip, and your gal says, “Hey look, it’s the Crow Quill Night Owls” and maybe they play and play away the day.

You can open your eyes. Maybe it’s still July, but get on out of that crisper, head outside, and enjoy a tune anyway:
